Thoughts
After doing the ancestry project I have learned that it can be very difficult when it comes to finding information on your own family and that depending how many generations have been born in the United States or have immigrated to the United States the results on the amount of information can vary. This week I really enjoyed listening to other people's findings of their families because so many peers had such an abundant amount of information to share and it was great listening to all the stories. I'm glad we have a variety of backgrounds in our class because not one of us are the same and it has given us the opportunity to learn about other ethnic groups and not just our own.

I completely agree with you on that! The project was so time-consuming for me and I wasn't able to research on someone I personally know. I did it on a complete stranger, which made it even harder because I had to personally figure out the documents and put all the pieces together in order to build his story. But the presentation portion was fun. There were quite a few surprises that people found out by searching on ancestry.com and it was just interesting to me to hear about the variations of journeys.
